Instructions to make to make Akhni or Tahiri

  1. Using the ingredients from step 1, make a stock and boil chicken in it. Cook until chicken is tender and there is enough water for the rice to cook later.
  2. Marinate the boiled chicken with the ingredients from step 2.

    Take out the ginger, garlic, and chilies from the stock and blend these along with the tomatoes.
  3. In a pot heat oil and cook onions till golden brown. Add whole spices and saute well till fragrant, then add the tomato paste prepared earlier along with all the dry spices from step 3. Keep simmering till oil is seen. Now add the remaining stock prepared earlier as needed. Bring it to a boil and add rice. Cook until done. Put it on dum till rice are fluffy.
