- 1 bay leaf
- 4 cloves
- 3 cardamoms
- 1 star
- 1 inch cinnamon
Steps to make to make Chicken biryani
- Heat oil saute cloves,bay leaf, Cardamom, cinnamon. Once you smell their aroma. Add onion and saute till it turns brown.Add ginger garlic paste.
- Add tomato and saute till tomato cooks well.
- Add Coriander leaves and mint leaves.
- Add chilli powder. Saute for 2 mins.
- Add curd and mix well.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces.
- Let it cool on low flame for 5 mins.
- Now add water 800 ml
- Cover with lid for 5 mins on low flame.
- Once water starts boiling add soaked basmati rice.
- Cover with lid and place a weight over the lid. Cook for 5 mins on high flame. After 5 mins you can see fumes coming out from lid.
- Reduce the flame and cook for 15 mins.
- After 15 mins biryani is ready serve it with curd raitha.
