- 1 cup washed green methi leaves
- 1/4 cup pre boiled fresh green peas
- 2 tsp curd

- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1 tsp chopped green chillies
- 4-5 chopped spring onion bulbs

- 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
- 1 javitri
- 1 inch cinnemon stick
- 2 dry red chillies
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cloves
- 3 black pepper
- 1 tsp pulao masala
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp curry leaves
- to taste Salt
- 2 tsp butter
- 4 tsp oil
- as needed Water
Steps to make to make Methi Matar Butter Masala Pulao
- Take a small pan, add water, on a medium flame,to make par boiled green peas.. Take a cooker pan, add oil, fry fresh green methi leaves, transfer in a bowl, in same oil, add almonds and cashews, fry till turns in pinkish, transfer in a bowl.
- Now add butter in same oil, add jeera, hing, whole masala like star phool, dagas phool, bay leaf, red chillies, javintri, black pepper, dalchini, cloves, saute it, now add chopped green chilli, ginger, garlic, curry patta, saute it..
- Add chopped spring onion bulbs and leaves, saute for a minute. Add par boiled green peas.
- Add salt, pulao masala, curd, lemon juice, cardamom and nutmeg powder, mix well.
- Now add soaked basmati rice, fried methi leaves, fried few almonds and cashews, mix well.
- Add water as required to cook pulao, cover pressure cooker lid, flame should me low to medium, cook for 1 - 2 whistles. Turn off gas. Wait till pressure completely cools.
- Yummy and healthy, Methi Matar Butter Masala Pulao is ready to serve.. Enjoy with raita, papad, salad of your choice.. Here I garnished with bay leaf, tomato slice, tomato flower, fried almonds and cashews and some methi leaves.
