Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Dhokla:

  1. 500 gm rice,
  2. 250 gm white urad dal
  3. 125 gm chana dal,
  4. 1cup yellow moong dal
  5. 1 cup dhokla flour
  6. 2 tsp ginger chilli paste
  7. 1 tsp turmeric
  8. 1/2 tsp hing
  9. 3 tsp oil
  10. as per taste Salt sugar to taste
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 1 regular eno packet (2 tsp eno)
  13. 3 tsp curd

Steps to make to make Dhokla

  1. First grind all above-mentioned ingrediants from housemill. So your dhokla mix flour is ready
  2. Take 1 cup dhokla flour add 3 tsp curd in it. And make thick batter by adding water. Keep aside for 2 hours.
  3. While making dhokla add ginger chilli paste, salt, sugar, turmeric and 2 tsp oil in batter. Mix it well. On one side keep steamer on gas. Grease dhokla plate with oil and keep plate in steamer to become warm.
  4. Lastle add eno in dhokla batter. Put some water on eno to activate and stir it and pour the batter on plate. Cover with lid. Steam dhokla for 10 -15 min. For tampering take oil in kadhai add mustard seeds, hing and turmeric. Spread this tampering on steamed dhokla. And after cool down cut the dhokla in pieces.
  5. Garnish with coconut, shev and coriander.
