  19. 2-3 lemons sliced
  20. 2 tesp garam masala
  21. Water as required
  22. Salt as required
  23. Yellow food colour

Instructions to make to make Bombay Biryani

  1. In a wok add oil and heat it up. Then add sliced onions and cook until brown. Let it out from oil.
  2. Peel the potatoes and wash them then cut into desired shape, mix with little yellow food colour and fry into oil til 80% done.
  3. In a bowl add chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, salt, biryani masala, red chilli powder, crushed red chilli, coriander powder and crushed brown onions marinade chicken for about an hour.
  4. In the same oil add sliced tomatoes and cook until soft then add green chillies and cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Add marinated chicken into the tomatoes and cook until chicken is done at last add fried potatoes with tamarind pulp and cook for more 5 minutes.
  6. In a large wok boiled soaked rice in the water 85% with salt.
  7. Time to layer the them, add rice in the bottom of pot then, layer of chicken again rice again chicken then at last rice with yellow food colour, mint leaves and garam masala sprinkle over the rice!
  8. Give dumm for 15 minutes on dumm tasty Bombay Biryani is ready to serve.
