  5. 2 cloves, 1piece cinnamon, 2cardamom, 1tsp shajira

  8. 2 tsp chilli powder
  9. 1 tsp coriander powder
  10. 2 tbsp ginger, garlic paste
  11. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  12. 1 tbsp biryani masala powder
  13. 2 tsp lemon juice
  14. 1 handful chopped, mint, coriander leaves
  15. 2 onion sliced
  16. 2 tomatoes finely chopped

Instructions to make to make Simple chicken biryani

  1. To begin with let's soak basmati rice for 20 minutes, wash chicken and marinate with, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander, garam masala powders, 1cup curd, salt, ginger garlic paste, mix well...cover, keep aside for at least 1 hour
  2. Keep a pressure cooker on medium flame add ghee... heat up,add in bay leaf, whole garam masala ingredients, saute it for 2minutes, add sliced onion saute it until it turns in to light brown
  3. Now add in 1tsp ginger garlic paste saute it again until raw smell goes off, now add marinated chicken pieces, saute nicely for 3-4 minutes, add in chopped tomatoes, biryani masala powder, chopped leaves mix well, cover and cook on low flame until tomatoes becomes soft and mushy
  4. Now add 2cups of water and basmati rice, gently give it a mix,adjust the salt...add lemon juice, cover with lid, get one whistle and turn off the flame..let it gets cool down, your delicious simple chicken biryani is ready to be served... enjoy
