  1. 1/2 tsp salt
  2. Salad- 1 piece of lemon, tomato and cucumber slices
  3. 1 tsp mokali dal chutney
  4. 1 tsp chana dal(split chickpea lentils) and yoghurt chutney

  6. For Katachi Aamti(spicy gravy)-
  7. Oil as required
  8. 1/4 cup dry coconut

  10. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  11. 1 tbsp goda masala powder (readymade)
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  14. As needed water to adjust the consistency of gravy
  15. For kadhi-
  16. 1 cup Sour yoghurt
  17. 1 tbsp gram flour
  18. 1/2 tsp salt
  19. 1/2 tsp sugar
  20. 1/4 cup curry leaves
  21. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  22. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  23. 1 cup dal palak curry
  24. 1 cup plain yoghurt
  25. 1 plain chapati
  26. 1 puranpoli
  27. 1 cup white steam rice
  28. 1/4 cup cooked yellow split pigeon peas
  29. 5-6 mung sprout Fritters
  30. 4-5 dill leaves Fritters

Steps to make to make Maharashtratrian Puranpoli Thali

  1. For katachi aamti-
  2. Roast dry coconut slices and onion slices by adding oil till golden brown
  3. Grind and make fine paste
  4. Now heat oil in a pan
  5. Add ginger garlic paste,then add ready coconut onion paste
  6. Saute for 1min
  7. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and goda masala(garam masala powder)
  8. Saute for 1min
  9. Add water and boil for 3-4 min
  10. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves
  11. Katachi aamti(or sar or spicy gravy) is ready
  12. For kadhi-
  13. Take a blender jar
  14. Add garlic, green chillies, curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves
  15. Grind coarsely
  16. In the same pot
  17. Add yoghurt (curd) and gram flour,salt and turmeric powder
  18. Blend well till smooth paste
  19. Now heat oil in a kadhai or pan
  20. Add mustard seeds and cumin
  21. Once it crackles,add curry leaves and dried red chilli, Asafoetida
  22. Add ready yoghurt paste, also add 1 glass of water
  23. It should be of soup consistency
  24. Add 1/2 tsp sugar
  25. Again boil for 3-4 min
  26. Now turn off the flame
  27. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves
  28. Kadhi is ready to serve
